In commemorating the World Hepatitis Day on July 28, VFAHT SZMC organized a screening camp of hepatitis B & C. The main background for conducting this activity was to provide free screening to the rural population at Kot Samaba village, Rahim Yar Khan. HBV and HCV Rapid Diagnostic Testing (RDT) kits were used to screen the people. Those who tested negative were advised to get vaccination against Hepatitis B and secure themselves to getting the infection. Further tests and treatment were counselled to the positively diagnosed patients. This activity also included the education and counseling of villagers to aware the locals.
The team showed full adherence to COVID-19 SOPs during the camp.
