On account of world TB day VFAHT-JSMU organized a TB awareness campaign at Cantt Railway station Karachi on Tuesday March 21, 2023. The awareness campaign started at 9:30 and ended at 12:30. Our volunteers divided themselves into groups to target a large number of people present there and aware them about the transmission, signs and symptoms, and how to get treated. We explained them where to get treated by telling them about the TB centers present all over Karachi (both government and private) if they had TB and how to observe the DOTS therapy. Moreover, they were explained what precautionary measures should they take in order to save others from this. We also encouraged them to wear masks and get tested if anyone noticed those symptoms.

In total, we were able to approach around 221 people present on different platforms of the Cantt Station.
People were excited to know, that they can get treated for free in our government TB centers. Hope so this awareness campaign will be able to bring positive changes in our society as in the end, we asked them to spread this message even further.
