On the occasion of World TB Day, VFAHT-DUHS and VFAHT-JSMU collaborated to conduct a TB Awareness Walk at Civil Hospital with the objective to educate at least 200 people. They started the walk around 11 am. A total of 57 volunteers participated in a 20-minute walk on the premises of Civil Hospital. Then the 57 volunteers were divided into 7 groups, each with a group leader. These groups were assigned to different areas of the Civil Hospital to directly educate the people on TB (what TB is, its signs and symptoms, prevention, and who should get tested). Around 50 people were addressed by each group resulting in around 350 people being reached overall, hence meeting our objective.
