On October 19, 2024, VFAHT-DUHS conducted an impactful Typhoid Awareness Campaign at Lalu Khet Market, Karachi, addressing the community’s need for health education. Volunteers educated residents about typhoid’s transmission, symptoms, prevention, and treatment. The campaign also emphasized the connection between typhoid and Hepatitis A and E, as these diseases share similar transmission routes through contaminated food and water.
Participants were informed about the importance of proper hygiene, safe drinking water, and sanitation to prevent both typhoid and hepatitis. Flyers were distributed to amplify the message, reinforcing the significance of vaccinations and preventive measures. This initiative aimed to empower the community with knowledge, contributing to improved public health and disease prevention.
