On March 24, 2024 in commemoration of ‘World TB Day,’ the volunteers of VFAHT-JSMU took to the streets near Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center. Engaging with passersby, they discovered that while many had some knowledge of tuberculosis, misconceptions prevailed. With dedication and empathy, the team dispelled myths and shed light on the reality of this insidious disease. Their efforts transformed the streets into classrooms, offering vital insights into TB, including its symptoms, transmission, treatment, and prevention methods. Notably, the discussion also centered on the importance of the BCG vaccine. Their educational initiative extended beyond the streets, as they shared their knowledge on social media, aiming to empower even more individuals with life-saving information.
