On February 15, 2024, the students of VFAHT-UMDC conducted a public awareness session on Tuberculosis at Creek General Hospital, Karachi. The volunteers, equipped with informative materials and a strong determination to spread awareness, diligently covered various departments of the hospital such as emergency, gynaecology ward, surgery ward, gynae OPD, medicine OPD and physiotherapy department.
The enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from both the hospital staff and visitors underscored the significance of such initiatives in combating infectious diseases and improving public health outcomes. This collaborative effort not only educated individuals about tuberculosis but also empowered them with the knowledge and resources to take proactive steps towards prevention. It served as a testament to the commitment of VFAHT-UMDC students towards serving their community and contributing to the larger goal of eradicating preventable diseases.
