On May 06, 2024, VFAHT-UMDC, in collaboration with Mehmooda Medical Center, conducted a medical camp in Korangi, Karachi, to raise awareness about malaria. The camp focused on educating the community about malaria’s spread, signs and symptoms, treatment, and prevention, while also providing free consultations and testing for symptomatic individuals.

To promote the camp, VFAHT-UMDC distributed pamphlets in different areas of Korangi 2-3 days prior and continued distributing them on the camp day to attract passersby. Patients were registered, had their medical history taken, and underwent a general examination. Those showing malaria symptoms received free testing, with results available within minutes. Additionally, free malaria kits containing mosquito-repellent lotion, coils, and medicine were distributed. The camp successfully served 52 patients.
