On August 12, 2023 VFAHT AKU visited Manghopir and educated the community about preventing and safeguarding against menacing mosquito-borne diseases like Dengue and Malaria.

With pamphlets in hand and determination in heart, the team knocked on doors, reaching nearly 400 residents with a strong emphasis on cultivating a cleaner environment, and recognition of preventative measures against Malaria and Dengue. Dispelling myths and quashing misinformation about dengue and malaria ensured everyone has accurate knowledge to protect their family & community. The concerns of the community were gathered and conveyed to the local authorities, and VFAHT-AKU will continue working with them to ensure proper garbage disposal, elimination of mosquitoes, and drainage of their breeding grounds.
