On May 21, 2024, VFAHT JMDC, in collaboration with the Pediatrics Student Interest Group (PSIG), organized a Immunization Awareness Campaign at Sohail Trust Hospital, Karachi as part of the Government of Sindh’s ongoing Typhoid vaccination drive.

The campaign aimed to raise awareness about the importance of vaccinations, with a focus on promoting the free typhoid vaccination drive running from May 13th to 25th, and educating the community about vaccines available for both children and adults. Volunteers visited the Pediatrics & OBGYN wards and the OPD to distribute pamphlets, emphasizing the significance of vaccinations.

To make the event engaging for children, face painting activities were organized in the pediatric ward, and stickers were given to children who received their vaccinations. The campaign successfully achieved its goals of raising awareness and making the vaccination experience both educational and enjoyable, underscoring the importance of teamwork in public health initiatives.
