On August 5, 2024, VFAHT-FMH, in collaboration with FMH IFMSA, conducted a hepatitis awareness campaign in Shadman, Lahore, as part of World Hepatitis Awareness Week. The initiative aimed to bridge the gap in healthcare education for high-risk populations with limited access to medical resources. Volunteers engaged over 150 individuals across 50+ shops, educating them about hepatitis, its types, transmission modes, prevention strategies, and treatment options. Flyers in Urdu were distributed and thoroughly explained to ensure clear communication. Feedback was also collected from the community, focusing on measures to reduce the risk of hepatitis transmission.
This impactful campaign emphasized the importance of community-driven efforts to promote health awareness and empower individuals to take proactive steps in disease prevention.
