On October 31, 2022, VFAHT-DUHS organized a session for students of grades 3 and 4 at Kotwal Government Secondary School, Saddar, Karachi to observe Global Handwashing Day 2022.

Kids were briefed about the importance of hygiene and handwashing. The volunteers also conducted an interactive demonstration of the correct way of washing hands along with the students repeating the steps.
The session concluded with the activity of hand painting, which was related to the topic by asking the students to go to the washroom to wash their hands according to the taught method.
The second session for grade 4 was conducted in a similar manner.
The whole session proved to be fruitful as students were very active and keenly learned the correct way of washing hands. They were also taught to spread awareness of this method at their homes by taking printed brochures that explained the steps of handwashing, as well as the bathrooms at the school, were supplied with soaps, as sponsored.
