On August 28, 2022, VFAHT-AKU organized an all-Karachi beach clean-up at Sea View Beach Clifton in collaboration with the Last Earthlings. Approximately over 250 volunteers participated in the activity from different institutes. There was representation from more than 26 schools, universities, and medical colleges in Karachi. All the students and volunteers assembled in teams of five and dispersed with their bags to collect as much waste as they could. All sorts of waste materials were collected at the shore, from various plastics and needles to wandering shoes. The majority showed extreme dedication and resilience to gather as much trash as possible. All in all, this clean-up reiterated the importance of the ocean in the climate crisis and aided in the dissemination and awareness of our immediate environment while making Sea View beach a relatively safer space for the public.
