On May 18, 2024, VFAHT-AKU organized a Tuberculosis Awareness Campaign at Idara Al Khair School, Karachi, educating approximately 200 students from grades 6 to 9. Conducted by 25 dedicated volunteers, the event focused on TB symptoms, prevention, and timely treatment through interactive activities and engaging demonstrations.
The session featured a skit illustrating TB transmission and the importance of medical care, along with a live demonstration of safe coughing techniques. Students participated in activities and quizzes, reinforcing their learning and sparking curiosity. Flyers with essential TB information were distributed to share with families, and goodie bags were given as tokens of appreciation.
This initiative empowered young learners to spread TB awareness within their communities, highlighting VFAHT-AKU’s commitment to public health education and reducing the burden of disease.
