On August 11, 2024, VFAHT–FMH in collaboration with IFMSA–FMHCMD hosted the “First Line Defense” webinar on hepatitis awareness, featuring Dr. Shahid Habib, Medical Director at the Liver Institute PLLC, Tucson, Arizona.

Dr. Habib shared his expertise on liver disease, focusing on hepatitis transmission, prevention, and the critical role of healthcare workers in Pakistan. He stressed understanding diseases thoroughly to improve diagnosis and prevention. This impactful session encouraged participants to adopt better practices to help curb the spread of hepatitis in Pakistan.
