On the September 24, 2023, VFAHT-AKU, in collaboration with Trifit, organized an all-Karachi beach cleanup at Seaview Beach Clifton. The purpose of the activity was to highlight the link between environmental cleanliness and public health, particularly the importance of clean water sources in preventing hepatitis. The event drew robust participation, with over 200 volunteers, predominantly students from more than 20 schools, showing their enthusiasm for the cause. The avid volunteers collected over 150kg of trash. During the cleanup, students were also educated on the safe and proper disposal of waste, with special attention given to handling sharp objects responsibly. The one-hour cleanup concluded on a positive note as participants enjoyed the refreshing lemonade provided by Trifit. The event marked a resounding success and showcased the power of community collaboration in fostering a cleaner, healthier environment for all.
