On 30th April, VFAHT-AKU collaborated with EPI for World Immunization Week and carried out its first community-based activity at Union Council (UC) in Gulberg, Karachi Central.
The volunteers were divided into 6 teams led by VFAHT core members. The teams visited Aziz National School, Al-Khidmat Clinic, Ibrahim Ali Bhai School, Kidney Hospital and did door-to-door visits spreading awareness about benefits of immunization while debunking common myths to address vaccine hesitancy amongst the community. Vaccines were also administered at Aziz National School as a part of this project.
