Pakistan has long wrestled with persistent healthcare challenges, characterized by a higher prevalence of infectious diseases compared to many other developing nations. The nation’s battle against ongoing outbreaks of HIV, viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, and other infectious diseases underscores the critical importance of early detection and the provision of accessible, fair, and sustainable healthcare services. These measures not only facilitate prompt intervention and treatment but also play a pivotal role in stemming the transmission of diseases within communities.
In essence, addressing Pakistan’s healthcare issues requires a concerted effort to prioritize early detection and equitable access to healthcare services, ultimately paving the way for a healthier population and a more resilient healthcare system.
For the year 2023, The Infection Prevention and Control Foundation has facilitated 4,051 people from a total of 29 Hepatitis B, C & HIV Screening camps with the help of Volunteer Force Against Hepatitis Transmission (VFAHT) and wishes to target more audience all over Pakistan in 2024.
