On January 07, 2025, VFAHT-KIMS visited Edhi Village, Gadap Town, Karachi, for a hepatitis awareness session and interactive engagement with the elderly residents. Upon arrival, the team set up a decorated space for activities and games. Faculty members presented a bouquet to the old home’s management as a gesture of appreciation.
The volunteers conducted an informative session on hepatitis, highlighting the increased susceptibility of older individuals and discussing preventive measures. Following this, volunteers engaged with the residents through games like carrom and ludo, along with a coloring activity to encourage self-expression. A musical jam session brought joy and fostered a sense of connection. As a special keepsake, residents shared life lessons on sticky notes.
The visit concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, marking a day of education, compassion, and meaningful interactions.
