On June 09, 2024, VFAHT Sindh conducted a Hepatitis B & C Screening and Blood Donation Drive at Maritime Museum Karsaz, Karachi in collaboration with the Omair Sana Foundation. The event featured a dual focus: a blood drive to provide vital donations for thalassemia patients and hepatitis screenings to enhance public health awareness. Through this activity, 149 pints of blood were collected. 

Generous donors contributed to the blood drive, providing essential support to individuals affected by thalassemia and ensuring they receive necessary transfusions. Healthcare professionals conducted hepatitis screenings, offering attendees valuable insights into their health status and promoting early detection and treatment. In a spirit of community and camaraderie, attendees also enjoyed screening of a cricket match, fostering a sense of unity and celebration alongside health initiatives. 

VFAHT-BUHSC, VFAHT-UMDC, VFAHT-BMU, VFAHT-ZU, VFAHT-AKU, VFAHT-JMDC, VFAHT-JSMU and VFAHT-DUHS all showed great enthusiasm and active participation for this event, making it a great success.
