On the June 18, 2023, VFAHT JSMU, JMDC, UMDC and ZU joined forces with Omair Sana Foundation to organize a Blood Donation camp at the Maritime Museum, Karachi. The event aimed to collect blood donations to support children with thalassemia. The collaborative efforts of everyone involved were instrumental in the success of the camp, resulting in the collection of 125 pints of blood.

In preparation for the blood camp, an extensive awareness campaign was conducted to motivate people to donate blood. The organizing team actively posted various videos and poems on their social media accounts to spread the message. Volunteers worked tirelessly and enthusiastically throughout the campaign period.

To add an element of entertainment, game stalls were set up at the venue, allowing the public to play games free of charge and enjoy themselves. Additionally, a popular free henna and face painting stall was available, which the children particularly loved.

Prior to donating blood, all potential donors underwent thorough eligibility checks to ensure they met the necessary criteria. Furthermore, they were screened for diseases such as HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Malaria, and HIV. The donors will be provided with their screening reports free of charge, ensuring their health and safety.
