On August 3, 2024, VFAHT Sindh held a Hepatitis Awareness Walk along Seaview, attracting over 250 participants from nine VFAHT Sindh Local Councils: VFAHT-ZU, BUHSC, AKU, JMDC, DUHS, JSMU, BMU, KIMS, and UMDC. The event aimed to raise awareness about hepatitis and promote preventive measures, educating the public on various types of hepatitis, their transmission, and prevention strategies. Activities included a symbolic walk and the distribution of handmade awareness posters featuring slogans like “Go Hepatitis Go.”

The walk received significant media coverage, with reports from Metro News and an article in the Dawn newspaper, enhancing its impact and highlighting the commitment of medical students to public health. With support from the Sindh Police ensuring safety, participants enjoyed breakfast after the walk. The presence of VFAHT President of Pakistan, Mr. Areeb Arif Khan, underscored the collective effort to combat hepatitis and promote community health.
