On October 10, 2024, VFAHT-DUHS and IFMSA-DUHS collaborated on a hepatitis awareness campaign in Bhimpura, Karachi. The initiative educated residents on hepatitis types, transmission modes, prevention, and the importance of vaccination and early detection.
A team of 25-26 volunteers conducted a door-to-door campaign, covering 44 houses. They distributed flyers and emphasized avoiding syringe reuse, maintaining hygiene, and recognizing contaminated food and water risks. The campaign effectively informed a large number of residents, demonstrating the power of collaborative efforts in raising public health awareness in underserved communities.
