On August 19, 2024, VFAHT-DUHS conducted the EmpowerHer: Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Session at Ayesha Islamic Orphanage for Girls. The session was attended by girls aged 10 to 17 and aimed to educate them on the importance of menstrual hygiene while addressing common myths and misconceptions.

The session featured a presentation to provide essential information and create a comfortable space for open discussion. As the session progressed, the girls gained confidence in asking questions, fostering a better understanding of the topic. The event concluded with the distribution of sanitary pads, generously donated by Santex (Butterfly), ensuring that the participants were equipped with the resources they needed.
