The event “Time to deliver ZERO MALARIA : Invest, Innovate, Implement” was thoroughly thought about and planned to yield an understanding in students about the prevalence, recognition and treatment of the disease malaria. It started with the presidents, vice presidents, team mates and volunteers gathering for the event to be conducted. We proceeded towards the Government Girls Primary School in Wapda town phase 3 at 8:00 am. The objectives of the event were to spread awareness about prevalence, outbreak, signs, symptoms and health hazards of malaria. Moreover, we also aimed to shed light on how to protect oneself and dear ones from malaria. It was also our goal to teach the students about the precautions that can be undertaken to prevent malaria. The team started with an informative session in which the students were educated about the disease, prevalence, signs, symptoms, precautions and treatment.
The team then moved on towards making the session interactive by arranging a quiz competition which was followed by a role play performance. The event came to a conclusion with a drawing competition. The students participated enthusiastically in each segment of the event and had gained a thorough understanding of Malaria.
