On May 5, 2023, VFAHT-HBS conducted a TB awareness drive with the objective of:
The target audience for this drive included people of all ages, genders, and of low socio-economic backgrounds, with a special focus on high-risk groups such as those with weakened immune systems, people living in overcrowded conditions, and those with close contact with TB patients. Educational pamphlets were distributed and people were briefed about the disease in simple, easy-to-understand terms.
TB remains a major public health problem worldwide, and raising awareness about the disease and its prevention is essential to controlling its spread. The hypothetical TB awareness drive outlined in this report aims to educate people about TB, promote early diagnosis and prompt treatment, and ultimately reduce the burden of TB on individuals and communities.
