On May 03, 2023, HBS Local Council under the banner of VFAHT, held a dengue and malaria awareness campaign at The Arqam School, Burma Town targeting an audience of 110-120 schoolchildren.

Objectives included:

1. Spreading awareness to students to reduce increasing cases of Dengue and malaria
2. Spreading the word to the parents of those students by handing them pamphlets with precautions to protect them from Dengue and Malaria
3. Urge the schools to get pesticide sprays every now and then and tell the teachers to preach safety measures and the seriousness of these diseases in order to avoid spread of the disease

The schoolchildren were briefed about the causes, signs and symptoms and complications of these diseases. They were educated about the various preventative measures that can be taken by them to keep themselves safe.
Pamphlets were distributed among the children with information about these diseases and their methods of prevention.
